This is a DIGITAL machine embroidery design file. You will need embroidery software to transfer this design to your embroidery/applique machine. This is not a diagram for hand embroidery or cross stitch. No refunds will be given if you do not have an embroidery machine to stitch this with. Thank you for understanding!
You are NOT purchasing an actual finished item that will be mailed to you. Design will be available for download after completed payment.
This embroidery file comes in several sizes....5" wide, 6" wide, 5x7 hoop, 8x8 hoop, 9 inches wide, and 10" wide. This is a satin stitch applique. This is the GAME DAY file. The file comes with the bow, but that is the last step and can be skipped for those boys. This also has a step after the fabric and words get stitched for a piece of fabric to go on the backside of the applique if you want to make a pennant like shown in the video. Or you can just skip this step if you are using this applique on a shirt.
If using it as an "In the Hoop" project, here are the steps to follow:
~Add stabilizer to your hoop. I used medium cut away.
~Let it stitch the placement stitch.
~Add your felt or foam and add your fabric on top.
~Trim your fabric, then add the second piece of fabric.
~Trim your fabric AND foam.
~Let it stitch the words.
~Add the back piece of fabric to the back side of your stabilizer and tape it the stabilizer.
~Let it stitch the fabric, then trim your back piece of fabric.
~Let it stitch all around the pennant, and if you choose to use the bow let it stitch the bow.
~Take your stabilizer off the hoop then trim your stabilizer close to the satin stitch edge, being careful not to cut the threads.
~I then hot glued a dowel rod to the back side of the pennant, and covered the top part of the dowel with a wide piece of ribbon by hot glueing the ribbon to it.
~Cut some ribbons/trims to 8", tie them together, then hot glue them to the dowel rod. I then tied one of the ribbons around the dowel rod for extra security.
~Take a lighter and quickly run it over the edges of your ribbon to keep it from fraying. You can also take the lighter and go around the edge of the pennant if any of the stabilizer is showing. Just be sure to not catch the threads and burn them.
I will eventually make a tutorial and add it to the website and social media pages.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to use fabric to complete the look of these appliques. Knowledge of how machine appliques work is a must. I highly recommend using Heat N Bond Lite on the backs of all your applique fabrics. It helps keep the fabric from raveling and keeps it nice and crisp.
The files will be available in a .zip format, and must be unzipped on a computer before use.
